Sri Sri Ravi Shankar founded the Art of Living as an international, not-for-profit, educational and humanitarian organization. Its educational and personality-development programs teach effective processes for stress relief and wellness. These programs do not appeal to just one type of crowd worldwide. And have been useful at all levels of society.

He founded the International Association for Human Values (IAHV) in 1997. The main reason for this was to implement long-term development initiatives and conflict resolution in coordination with the Art of Living. Activists of both organizations in India, Africa, South America and around the world are undertaking long-term development work on a war footing. The work of this organization is underway in 40,212 villages.

Globally, conflict prevention and non-violence is promoted through public forums and meetings around the world. He is seen as a neutral personality with a single goal of peace. Hence, Sri Sri represents the hopes of the people in war-torn areas. He has received special recognition for the work he has done to bring the people together. (Government of Karnataka in India) He was appointed as the Chairman of the Reception Committee on the occasion of the 500th anniversary of the coronation of Krishna Deva Rai. (Government of Jammu and Kashmir in India) appointed him as a member of the board of Amarnath temple.

Through various activities and speeches, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar ji consistently emphasizes on strengthening human values. Humanism is our first identity. Eternal peace has been established.

His work has transformed the lives of millions of people across the world. He is inspiring the world to establish “Vasudaiva Kutumbakam” transcending caste, nationality and religion.’ He has given this message that internal and external peace, tension-free and violence-free society is easily possible if we cultivate the spirit of service and humanitarian values.

And we feel fortunate to be able to celebrate the birthday of such a saint with a Seva Mahotsav. We have implemented 10 activities in this service activity. It involved letter recognition, blood donation, tree conservation, government schemes, awareness camps, digital literacy, Sankirtan, village library, cow conservation and health check-up etc. Hon. Chandrakantji Rathi’s guidance and help from time to time is not enough to thank him. Charts service became available through Suresh Indani and our young associate director Mukund Shinde (age 75) completed the task of reaching it to the organization with great effort.

Vaibhav Mogarekar got great support for these books through Risso. Amol Umberje, Pranita Jagtap, Ganesh Bakle in the committee of directors also tried to make the project successful by giving their valuable time. Mukund Shinde, Senior Director in the Board of Directors, gave his valuable time for Digital Chart.
