1000 disabled brothers from Daund taluka were present in this project. All of them were distributed electric three-wheeled bicycle, white cane, wheel chair and orthopedic boots according to their needs. Materials of daily use were distributed to the disabled persons present. After this, organ donation, eye donation etc. were done. This benefited the disabled builders who were unable to purchase the necessary equipment on their own. At the end of the program a dinner was organized for all. When they came to know that with the help of electric three-wheeled cycle, disabled people will become self-sufficient by doing their own employment, there was joy and satisfaction on their faces. The disabled brothers present in this program met the belief that we are always with them to take them to self-sufficiency. The disabled brothers have also given a request letter to the state government to follow up on some major demands.
Maha NGO Federation founder Shekhar Mundada said that a disabled person is a person whose physical function, mobility, skill or stamina is limited due to deficiency in one or more physical parts. When a disabled person uses the remaining limb as a substitute due to the deficiency of a body part, the other limb acts as a ‘divine’ function. Maha NGO Federation has organized this project to stand by the disabled people who give a sense of divinity to the society and provide them with the things they need in their daily life. For this project Hon. The support given by Krishnakumar Bub sir through Clean Science is great. They are always striving for social, educational and economic development of Daund taluka society. More than 40 disabled people participated in donating blood and gave a lesson that we are ready for the society. Many thanks also to the Government of Maharashtra for starting a special Disability Welfare Department following Bachubhau Kadu. Maharashtra is the first state in the world to provide such innovative services.
Clean Science and Technology Pvt. Mr. Srisuhas Ahirrao, representative of Ltd. said that we are happy that we can help the disabled brothers through our social work and since Sobti is a Maha NGO Federation, there is more ease and trust to do social work. Akshay Maharaj Bhosle, Executive Director of Maha NGO Federation, said that if we get the sense of ethics and equal treatment, then everyone will realize the duty towards disabled persons. Man is a social animal. All types of people live together in this society. In that, if anyone has a disability due to genetics or accident, it is necessary for the relatives and neighbors to accept it wholeheartedly. Social service organizations should have a sense of affection towards the disabled and work to bring them into the mainstream of the society.
