Through the NGO Federation and The Art of Living, under the guidance of P.P. Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar and P.P. Shri Guru Shrichaitanyamaharaj Deglurkar, the “Warkari Seva Rath” was actively serving millions of Warkaris (pilgrims) marching in the Wari pilgrimage. More than 45 volunteers from Maha NGO Federation participated in the Sant Dnyaneshwar Maharaj Palkhi procession, providing various services to the Warkaris along the route from Alandi to Pandharpur. A special acknowledgment goes to Chandrakant Rathi, whose invaluable guidance and support strengthened this initiative. Additionally, entrepreneurs Srinivas Toshniwal (Sangli), Prashant Bhutada (Solapur), CA Ashish Sarda, and Sandeep Zanwar (Pune) played a crucial role in supporting the Seva Rath.The Executive Director of Maha NGO Federation and President of Warkari Sampraday Yuva Manch, Akshay Maharaj Bhosale, along with his young Warkari associates, led this initiative exceptionally well, spreading the mission across Maharashtra.

At various halting points along the Alandi to Pandharpur route, the Seva Rath actively conducted social awareness campaigns on:
Cow Conservation Government Schemes Awareness Tree Plantation & Water Conservation These were promoted through kirtans, pravachans (discourses), and bharud (folk performances). The Seva Rath also inspired social organizations within the Warkari community and local NGOs along the pilgrimage route to engage in service activities.

After a two-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this year’s Wari pilgrimage saw an overwhelming number of Warkaris. With its dedicated and selfless service, the Maha NGO Federation earned a special place of trust and respect among the Warkari community.
