Pune: Representatives of 218 volunteer organizations planted 565 native trees on Smritivan hill in Warje of Forest Department. Tree plantation program organized by Bhamburda Range, Forest Department, Maha NGO Federation, Sustainability Initiatives, VK Group and Lions Club took place at Smritivan Hill.
Native trees were included in this tree plantation program including Chinch, Palas, Bhava, Arjun, Kanchan, Putranjeev, Rohitak, N, Pimpal, Moh, Ritha etc. Such native trees were involved. Social commitment has been nurtured in an environmental initiative by including volunteers from various components of society such as drunk, children orphans, elderly, youth, disease affected, tribal people. This entire initiative was planned by Amol Umbarje, Mukund Shinde and Kishore Moholkar. Kishore Moholkar will take care of the entire tree through Lions Club.
Sustainability Initiatives and Maha NGO Federation organizations always conduct such tree plantation programs at this time Amol Umbarje, Mukund Shinde, Kishore Moholkar, Raghunath Dhole Patil, Vijay Sarda, Shayansh Dixit, Kanya Dixit, Sangeeta Kanase, Mahesh Gavhane, Archana Gavhane, Virendra Borade, Rameshwar Fundipalle, Gandhile Sir Forest Department, Anagha Athava Sidhaye, Akansha Kembhavi, Girish Kale, Ketki Karmarkar, Apurva Karava, Ashutosh Joshi, Komal Gandhi others were present. Representatives of VK Group, Jinsport, Lions Club, Resilient, Jinoombio, Brick School of Architecture, Pune Deccan India Chapter, Studcom, Navakshitij Matimand Children’s Organization, FSAI, Unique Inwarocare, Approach Helping Hands, Mamta Foundation, Ishre Pune Chapter, Marathwada Mitra Mandal participated in the tree plantation. Founder of Maha NGO Federation and President of Maharashtra Goseva Commission Shekhar Mundada always supports such projects.
Kishore Mohalkar gave guidance on why tree planting is important after the program and what care to take after planting. In this way, Amol Umbarje challenged all organizations to come together to plant trees and take care of them and help maintain balance of the environment.
