Corporate Social Responsibility in January 2025
Through Maha NGO Federation, an online workshop on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) was conducted for presidents, secretaries, office bearers, and representatives of over 2,500 social organizations across Maharashtra. The workshop covered the following key topics:
- Essential Preparations for Raising CSR Funds for Social Initiatives
- Legal Procedures for CSR Fundraising
- Eligibility Criteria and Standards for CSR Funding
- Policies and Objectives Related to CSR Projects
- Selection Process for CSR Projects and Organizations
- Resource Management for CSR Projects (e.g., Human Resources, Experts, Budget, etc.)
- Guidelines for Writing CSR Project Proposals
- Social Impact Assessment (SIA) Methods
- CSR Reporting and Transparency
Maha NGO Federation Founder, Shekhar Mundada, delivered the keynote address, emphasizing the importance of CSR projects and how social organizations can collaborate to implement such initiatives. Senior Director Mukund Shinde introduced the session.
CSR experts provided insightful guidance:
- Vijay Varudkar (CEO, CSR Helpline & Coordinator, National Duty Campaign) spoke about opportunities in CSR projects.
- Vaibhav Mogrekar (President, Rostrum India Organization) shared expertise on CSR project management and execution.
- Amol Umbarje (Director, Maha NGO Federation) presented insights on Social Impact Assessment.
The CSR experts also addressed questions from social organization representatives, discussing challenges in CSR project implementation and possible solutions.
This insightful discussion was organized by Maha NGO Federation under the inspiration of Founder Shekhar Mundada, with coordination by Senior Director Mukund Shinde, Directors Yogesh Bajaj, Apoorva Karva, and Komal Gandhi. The workshop witnessed enthusiastic participation from representatives of various organizations affiliated with Maha NGO Federation.
