With the motto Let’s celebrate Rakshabandhan with Bijrakhi, Let’s contribute to environment conservation, with the inspiration of Pujya Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankarji, Maha NGO Federation has made rakhis of indigenous varieties that are environmentally friendly and show the richness of nature this year. He has got the support of famous entrepreneur Mr. Chandrakant Rathiji. The concept of eco-friendly seed rakhi is innovative and inspiring to prevent environmental damage in the current situation. The variety of seeds contained in the rakhi when they went into the earth and bore the tree was a wonderful concept which made the use of rakhi for tree planting and seeding very inspiring.
In the past few years, Manohari Rakhis are being made using modern and technical skills along with traditional Rakhis. It is also being used more intimately. But this year, with the inspiration of Pujya Guruji, nature supplement rakhis have been prepared and the seeds of vegetable and herb trees have been used in these rakhis. A beautiful rakhya made from such seeds has strengthened the bond of brotherhood with nature during Rakshabandhan.
Rakshabandhan is a symbol of strengthening the bond of brother-sister blood-linked affection. Every year, the Raksha Bandhan celebrations are celebrated with numerous elegant and beautiful Rakshas. Along with that, many sisters tied rakhis to their brothers, decorated with qualities like artistry, creativity and beauty. Many people strain their wits to create rakhis decorated with various attributes. They are as attractive as they are durable. These rakhis were studded with seeds ranging from vegetables to various wild fruits. It was colorfully decorated. It was woven into threads. So, after Raksha Bandhan, after sowing the seeds of this rakhi in a pot or in the soil, by continuously watering it, the seeds have germinated and new plants of vegetables and fruits have been formed. Through this we can make our life more fit by enjoying organic vegetables along with nature conservation. Also, by giving life to some rare trees, another effective step forward in nature conservation has been made, along with this, the thread of Raksha Bandhan, which complements nature, has become stronger. One of the special things is that this rakhi was tied to the policemen, doctors, covid warriors with affection and showed their love and respect in the society. At some places a sincere attempt was made to tie the Rakhi to the prisoners and once again bring them into the mainstream of the society and correct the wrongs of the past. __This is Rakhi – In this rakhi, indigenous seeds like cotton thread, karanj, bakul, tamarind, red pumpkin, sitafal, tembhurni, ratangunj, katesawar, bahava, bhakar were used. Rakhi was complementary to the environment. In which plastic was not used anywhere. Many women were inspired by this and made some rakhis at home as well. Our aim was to conserve the environment by collecting and planting seeds. Moreover, we are trying to maintain indigenous varieties. It is sure that many people will implement this innovative initiative in the future keeping this ideal of Maha NGO Federation in front of them. In the end, I will say this much, now that we are aware, let us make a change.
